Public consultation

Consultation on the phase two codes

The industry associations responsible for the codes conducted a robust public consultation process that reflected the requirements outlined in eSafety’s Development of Industry Codes under the Online Safety Act Position Paper.

Public consultation included:

Proactively emailing over 200 stakeholders in each of the categories identified in the Position Paper with draft codes and Discussion Paper encouraging them to lodge a submission, as well as promoting both consultation periods to the general public via the media.

A virtual roundtable with expert stakeholders on key issues relating to the draft codes.

Input received from these efforts has been published on this page, including: submissions received (where permission has been given to publish), summary of industry response to submissions, and meeting summaries reflecting the discussion at expert roundtable.

2024 Submissions
